My name is Shelby Olvera and I’m 33 years old, a wife, and a proud mother of three. My journey hasn’t been a straight line or a picture-perfect path—it’s been a climb out of poverty, a walk through the shadows of addiction, and a constant leaning on faith to make it through. It letting the world know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I used to think that once I broke free from my past—poverty, addiction, generational pain—life would finally get easier. But healing isn’t a finish line, and life has a way of teaching you knew lessons. When I met my soulmate, everything changed. He brought joy, patience, and a kind of love I’d never known. Due to the country he came from together we’ve faced immigration challenges that tested our faith, our strength, and our dreams. Loving him has reminded me that even when life throws new obstacles your way, you can still fight for a future built on hope, faith, and unity.
